Exciting new banking system now operational

SERVICE ONE Members Banking has undertaken a banking system conversion recently. It's important you are familiar with how this impacts the services we provide you.

The banking system is pivotal to our operation. Not only does it store all of our Member information but it drives the products and services we provide you. We have been operating with a particular banking system for a number of years now, and felt the time was right to undergo a system upgrade.

You will notice enhancements, both immediately and over the coming months, as a result of the conversion. Improved ability to service your needs, increasing functionality of Internet banking and product innovation are just some of the benefits we can now provide.

As with any major project, there were some disruptions to our service over the period of conversion. In addition, there are some changes we needed to implement to be able to accommodate the conversion.

Internet banking

If you are one of the many thousands of Members who utilise our Internet banking facility eLink, you were required to set a temporary access code prior to Friday 5 December 2008. You should have received a letter detailing the process you needed to go through to do this.

If you didn't have a chance to set a temporary access code by 5 December, you need to phone us on 1300 361 761 between 8am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday and between 9am and 12 noon on Saturday. Without this temporary access code you will be unable to access eLink.

For Members who set a temporary access code, the new eLink facility is now available. Find out more about the new eLink.

Please note that in order for you to access the new eLink facility, you will need one of the following Internet browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 5.0 (or a later version), or
  • Netscape Navigator 6.2 (or a later version).

Links to download the latest version of these programs can be accessed by visiting the Help page of our site.

Phone banking

While there is no change to your access code for PhoneLink, our telephone banking facility, you will be required to change your access code on your first session after Saturday 6 December 2008 as a precaution. There are also some functional changes to the service - for instance, a '#' will now be used to complete all transactions (as opposed to a '*' which was used in the past).

Member and account numbers

Positively, your Member and account numbers remain the same, but you may notice some minor changes to account titles.

Member statements

While the format of your Member statements will not change, we will be introducing a fee disclosure box on the bottom of each statement which will hopefully assist you in managing fees (from February onwards).

We would like to thank all Members for their patience over the conversion period. While some disruptions to services were experienced, the benefits we are now able to offer from this system upgrade will hopefully outweigh any inconveniences. Our staff have been fully trained in the system and are ready to assist you with enquiries regarding the conversion. Please feel free to contact us on 1300 361 761 during business hours for further information.
